Franklin College MS in International Management

The Taylor Institute for Global Enterprise Management offers a Master of Science in International Management that integrates current management science across many sectors—from organizational design to creative financial strategies. A rigorous 12-month program of work and study focuses on the challenges facing today’s managers in the global workplace. The MSIM holder has learned that leadership is not singly focused—it is the product of high standards of expertise, skill and character.

The Institute for Global Enterprise Management was established by the Franklin College Switzerland Board of Trustees in late 2010 and will offer its first classes in the fall of 2012. The first post-bachelor degree to be offered at Franklin will be a Master of Science in International Management. The generous support of John R. Taylor, Jr., Franklin College Trustee and former Chairman of the Board has helped make the Institute, after much research and planning, a reality. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the official accrediting body in the United States, reviewed the strategic plan and graduate curriculum of the Taylor Institute for Global Enterprise Management at its December 15, 2010 meeting and approved Franklin's new Master of Science in International Management degree (M.S.) for inclusion within the scope of Franklin's accreditation. This means that the M.S. in International Management is now fully accredited in the United States.

The Taylor Institute is currently recruiting students for the fall 2012 incoming class for its Master of Science in International Management (MSIM). The MSIM curriculum is a rigorous one-year program that includes a two-month internship. Within that framework there will be a strong emphasis on motivating and managing innovation while building strategies for sustainable initiatives. The program will feature initial and capstone exercises, regular seminars with visiting executives and scholars as well as the Franklin College signature learning experience — Academic Travel. Graduates of the program will be qualified to work in a variety of business or nonprofit organizations around the world.
