Reserve Materials

Reserve materials have been placed in the library by a teaching faculty member so that everyone in the class has equal access to scarce materials. These materials may include class notes, single copies of required reading, required listening material, and audio-visual materials.

Use
Reserve materials are kept behind the circulation desk. Only library circulation assistants may go behind the desk to retrieve Reserve materials. RESERVE MATERIALS NEVER LEAVE THE LIBRARY.

Time Limits
There is a 2-hour limit on the use of the Reserve material. To avoid a fine, students are advised to confirm that their names are crossed off the yellow Reserve circulation card upon return of the Reserve material.

Fines
Fines are CHF 50.00 per day for non-return of the Reserve material. Fines are reported to the bursar’s office when they are incurred. The Bursar’s office will add Library fines to a student’s financial record.

Fine Payment
Fines can be paid at the Bursar’s office. The library will not accept nor process fine payments.
