Professorship Endowments

It is truly amazing to watch an outstanding professor ignite the light of intellectual understanding and passion in his or her students. Gifted and talented teachers are able to take the most mundane topic and turn it into a river of possibilities and ideas. At Franklin, we strive to fill our classrooms with outstanding academicians and researchers in our quest to provide the very best education possible. A strong endowment would allow the College to compete with peer institutions by providing both the funds and the prestige associated with named professorships.

Professorships may provide support for salary, research, program development, course release, curriculum development, faculty development and training, and classroom resources. These added resources promote and acknowledge excellence in research, instruction, mentoring and respect for cultural diversity.

Minimum funding: $10,000 per year for five years or $50,000
