Professorships
Remember that special professor who inspired you to go beyond your comfort zone and explore a new dimension of intellectual challenges or the one who developed such a creative way to help you truly understand the dynamics of monetary policy? It is this quality of instruction that often makes a difference in education today. Franklin College seeks to attract world-class professors who can instill a thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning in the classroom, coupled with respect for and understanding of cultural differences. Finding talented professors who can positively impact the academic lives of their students through their love of teaching is a delightful challenge made more difficult through limited resources. Professorships provide the prestige and economic benefits that allow the College to be competitive when approaching top academicians.
Professorships may provide support for salary, research, program development, course release, curriculum development, faculty development and training, and classroom resources. These additional funds promote and acknowledge excellence in research, instruction, mentoring and respect for cultural diversity.
Minimum funding: $10,000 per year for five years or $50,000
