Be the Change 2012

The third annual Franklin College 'Be the Change' Conference will take place Monday, February 6 through Sunday, February 12.

The aim of this year's conference is to facilitate a process of self-actualization and awareness within individual students to inspire change through social justice in our lives, on our campus, and in our world. Through both on-campus activities as well as an off-campus retreat we will seek to create an open forum in which social issues can be considered and discussed. By starting these conversations, participants will walk away feeling more informed and inspired to create change.

The conference is divided into two parts: the on-campus and off-campus experiences. The on-campus conference will include a student panel, a social justice roundtable discussion and The Tunnel of Oppression. The off-campus retreat begins on Friday and continues until Sunday, where participants will head up to the mountains of Valle Maggia for an in-depth conversation related to issues of social change.
