Networking Forum
After the overwhelming success of the Fall 2010 Networking Forum, members of the Franklin Alumni Council have decided to organize the second networking forum. The Spring 2011 Networking Forum on International Relations will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 17:45 – 19:00 CET in the Kaletsch Campus Auditorium in Lugano.
A small reception, hosted by Franklin Marketing Communications, will follow the forum.
This forum, which will take place via videoconference, will offer students in Lugano the opportunity to ask a panel of Washington, D.C.-based Franklin alumni questions about their careers in international relations. The following alumni have agreed to serve on the panel:
| David Kirk ’03 | Associate Director: Young Atlanticist Network, Atlantic Council |
| Alexis Sampson ’03 | Communications Assistant, External Communications: World Bank Institute |
| Rob Thayer ’75 | Team Leader for Asia and Near East: Office of Food for Peace, USAID |
Leslie Guggiari, Dean of Student Life and Engagement, will be the moderator of the forum in Lugano. The following students, majoring in International Relations, will be participating as panelists in the forum:
| Lina Binladin '11 | Jeddah, Saudi Arabia |
| Ghalia Bouran '11 | Amman, Jordan |
| Jacob Dunn '13 | Trophy Club, Texas (U.S.A.) |
| Maggie Humphreys '11 | Puyallup, Washington (U.S.A.) |
| Josh Miller '13 | Pleasanton, California (U.S.A.) |
| Rene Quinn Musech '11 | Minnetonka, Minnesota (U.S.A.) |
The Alumni Council invites all Franklin students, alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff to attend this unique event. For anyone who is not able to attend the forum in person, a teleconference has also been arranged which will allow participants to listen to a live audio feed of the forum.
