Campus Safety
Student SafetyCampus security and safety are of vital importance to Franklin College. Providing students with a safe environment in which to live and learn, while keeping students, parents, and employees well informed about campus security are priorities for our school. Franklin College informs all students of campus emergency procedures and phone numbers during orientation. Our Resident Assistants are present in all residential facilities and are trained to respond to emergencies. Franklin College works in conjunction with a contracted security company, Protectas , to maintain a high level of surveillance on campus. Protectas is part of Securitas, the leading security service company in the world. Additionally, local police, fire department, and ambulance services can be contacted from any phone in the event of an emergency. Crime StatisticsThe Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires postsecondary educational institutions to disclose annual reports of criminal activity on campus. The act is intended to provide students and their families with accurate, complete, and timely information about safety on campus so that they can make informed decisions.
