Franklin College Switerland SGA
International Food Night

The Student Government Association at Franklin College is actively involved with numerous events organized by the various clubs on campus by providing financial support. To find out more about the latest events on campus, please visit our Facebook Page. Additionally, the SGA is responsible for organizing its own exciting events, some of which include:

Road Rally
Every year, a group of students rent smart cars and venture off to explore Switzerland. While driving around the country, students are introduced to other regions of Switzerland which they don't commonly experience in everyday life at Franklin. Come explore the Alps, eat cheese, drink wine, and experience the country in which you live!

Blood Drive
What better way to spend an afternoon at Franklin than by giving blood to save lives? Join many of your peers as everyone lends a hand (or vein) to give hope to others. At the end, SGA provides yummy snacks and drinks to refuel you before continuing your day.

Halloween
This annual event is a chance to dress up, put on your dancing shoes, and enjoy partaking in a fabulous tradition that brings classmates together. Since Halloween is not customary in Switzerland, it is also an excellent way of sharing a part of American culture with friends from all over the world.

International Food Night
Students from many different nationalities come together to share food from their native countries with fellow students. It is a night of food, fun, and friends that Franklin students look forward to every year.

The Travies
Show your fellow peers some picture-perfect moments you captured on camera while traveling, whether on an independent trip or on Academic Travel. There are several categories that students can submit photos to giving them the chance to win prizes, often including rewards such as plane tickets or train passes.

Luau
This event is a final celebration before heading home for the summer. Students can enjoy a BBQ with friends and faculty and enjoy the end of the year with school wrapping up. Students can relax in the sun, play games, or participate in other activities going on at the event.

Midterm and Finals Support Week
Every year during midterm and finals week, Franklin organizes events to help students relax, de-stress, and unwind. SGA plans movie nights, midnight breakfasts, massage parlors, yoga, running nights, and other events to keep students going. These activities provide a nice break from the pressures of tests and studying.
