Sustainability at Franklin

The Center for Sustainability Initiatives at Franklin College promotes both curricular and extra-curricular activities relating to issues of sustainability. Topics related to sustainability are found in many of courses across disciplines, including communication, economics, environmental science, management, political science, and visual culture and fashion design. The Academic Travel program, one of Franklin College's signature elements, includes field studies with a sustainable focus such as environmental studies, sustainable agriculture, and engagement with World Heritage sites. Our on-campus projects strive to put our research into practice and raise awareness of sustainable practices while on campus or on the road.
